Entrance works
Despite persistent Spring rain, the Stage 1 civil construction programme is continuing at Middleton Field.
Works update
Road crossings for electrical conduits, water and drainage connections are all complete. Roads are now also taking shape.
The expected settlement dates for purchasers in Stage 1 have been delayed due to industry-wide material and labour shortages as well as the unseasonably wet weather.
The construction programme has also been extended to accommodate additional protective works required to ensure the longevity of the beautiful large oak tree at the entrance to Middleton Field.
Standard construction methodology requires removal of topsoil to construct the entry/exit roads on either side of the oak tree. As investigations have revealed the oak tree has a shallow root system the topsoil surrounding the tree cannot be removed.
A revised engineering solution to construct the entry/exit roads whilst ensuring the longevity of the tree has been approved by an arborist and The Hepburn Shire Council.
The Middleton Field project team are continuing to work hard to manage any further programme delays and will keep Stage 1 purchasers updated on progress.
