Carbon-neutral NEIGHBOURHOOD

7 star NatHERs energy rating
Homes in Middleton Field must achieve a minimum 7 star NatHERs (Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme) energy rating. Residents can have peace of mind about the energy performance of their homes with reduced ongoing living costs.
WIND POWER
To power their homes Middleton Field residents will have an option to use locally produced wind energy from Hepburn Energy. The windfarm is in Leonards Hill, just south of Daylesford and hosts two wind turbines (Gale and Gusto). When wind is low or still, wind powered homes will revert to importing energy from traditional sources, ensuring the power is always on.
SURROUNDED BY NATURE
Many of the trees on the land in Middleton Field will be retained and enhanced with leafy deciduous trees found throughout Daylesford and trees of local origin. These trees will serve to create a natural continuation of greenery and the turning of the leaves found in the surrounding landscape.
